As I do each night, I say a prayer of thanks for all the blessings in my life. My family, friends, animals, home, job...I also ask for guidance in times such as these. When the world is in turmoil, I need to know how best to protect all of those I hold near and dear. That guidance came in the form of spirit showing me a deer, a lamb and a wolf.
A deer, in symbolism, means independence and alertness. As the deer ran across my path, it turned into a lamb. A lamb represents innocence and compassion. I then found myself face to face with a wolf. A wolf without claws who wrapped itself around me like a protector. A wolf is representative of survival.
Of course, spirit doesn't just come out and tell you what they want you to know. They give you signs and symbols. So, I sit down and try to figure out what the message was. Which requires putting things together and into some sort of context.
I believe spirit was telling me that as I journey down this path called life and in this point of time in the road, the deer was reminding me that I need to think independently and remain alert or I could find my compassion going to the wrong person. However, as long as I use my intuition to be alert to people, places or things which could harm me, I will be well protected.
In days such as these when things are volatile, I believe this message can be a reminder to all of us to remain diligent and cautious when going about our day to day activities. To remember to have compassion but be discerning. To protect ourselves from the volatility around us by going inwardly and knowing the peace of the light within each of us.
Let's talk about that light within. Our souls. That part of us which carries the knowledge of lives past. Call upon that knowledge as we journey through our lives. Remember what we learned in those other trips to the world as we know it, and remember what we will one day go home to.
Be someone's light. Give compassion. Be a warrior against injustices. Protect yourself from vulnerability by using your intuition to know who is there to harm, help, or just teach you one of the lessons you came to earth to learn.
Many blessings...
